Busy week… Got Engaged!
February 4, 2008 by Jason · 38 Comments
Yeah, I know, I've been a bit lax in posting over the past week. I tried to keep up with answering questions and comments but it was a low priority...
In any case, last Saturday I proposed to Dot, my girlfriend of 7 years, and she said yes! No plans for a wedding date or honeymoon destination as of yet, although since both of us want a small wedding (neither of us know/like many people) we're pretty set on deciding on a honeymoon destination first and then planning the wedding around the best time of the year for that location.
Congrats
Congratulazioni!
Congrats
Hmmm.... so... any chances for a PHP build with memcache extension?
Congratulations!
Have a wonderful loving life ahead!
Congrat!
Congratulazioni!
@everyone,
Thank you all!
@Dmitriy,
Possibly. If I do it won't be until next week as I haven't slept very well the last two nights, I'm going to the Philadelphia International Auto Show tomorrow, and I plan to sleep all of Sunday.
Welcome to the club. May I recommend a late fall wedding on a beach somewhere (who needs shoes?). . . Hilton Head Island or more southerly, e.g. Hobe Sound. . .
congrats Jason!
i know im kinda late but Congrats!
Wow, Congrats,
Welcome to non-single board :d
Congrats Jason.
I got married couple of years ago and I am loving it. And now I have a son. It is great.
congratulations Jason!
I'm getting married next year July.
Well, that's fantastic news, although I am late to comment.
Now, will you name your firstborn "slash"?
Couldn't resist.

Belated congratulations indeed. I've been engaged since October of last year, and it's taken us about 10 months to get even a venue sorted (now we have though, and we have 8 months left to plan it). Honeymoon-wise, it's got to be beachy with a sprinkling of adventure. I'm looking at this place in Thailand, but I'm still open to suggestion. How are your plans looking now?
Congratulations. If you need a wedding planner - please don't hesitate to get in touch
Don't go into debt for the wedding. You can have a nice marriage ceremony without breaking the bank. You shouldn't elope if you can help it; it will disappoint family members, and you may need their good will in future.
My 2p (two pence).
This is wonderful. I've been married for over 12 years now and although life isn't always easy, it definitely is worth it... got 6 little ones so far! I wish you the best!
Many congratulations!
Congratulations!
...pics or it didn't happen!
thanks
Congratulations! All the best guys!
Congratulations
Since you haven't mentioned it, I assume the location hasn't been chosen yet. An islands wedding is always nice, unless it's hurricane season of course. I nice intimate wedding on the beach followed by a relaxing honeymoon is the perfect way to start a marriage.
No matter what honeymoon destination you choose, be sure to take the time to have a wedding that will be memorable.
So how did you propose her ... you should tell us in details, so that we can imagine the whole story.
Congratulation to both of you and I wish you guys have great time together and enjoy each other company.
Many congratulations to you and your fiance. Typical man though, such a nonchalant announcement with no description whatsoever! Anyway let me know if you need a quote for a photographer..
Oh dear, I guess congratulations are in order!
Hey, cool tips. Perhaps I'll buy a glass of beer to the man from that forum who told me to visit your site
Congrats! I know lots of great destination wedding spots. I just planned mine and got the help from sandiegoweddding.com! Go check it out
Is this why you haven't updated your blog for over a year? Please update.
Like Richard said, can we expect an update any time soon?
?
Congratulations! Getting engaged is sometimes..scary!
just stumbled upon your site and for the short time i've been in here, i must say everything's been quite educational... belated congratulations, to you and your fiancee! so when's the big day?
Dude did you get married already???
Getting married is a truly special thing I hope that you are enjoying it - Dan
